The GR88 poker room software is provided by the Merge Gaming Network and is licensed in both the European Union, by the Malta Lotteries & Gaming Authority, and in Canada by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. These two authorities, along with Ecogra, regulate the systems that control our poker games and ensure that the games are random and fair. Data Security
The collection and storage of personal data is governed by the GR88 privacy policy. All GR88 gaming servers are protected by 128 bit secure certificate SSL encryption provided by Thawte and Rapid SSL. Our servers are located within locked cages in secure data centre facilities, and no paper records of player's personal data are produced or stored. All players are also required to verify their identity when using personal payment methods such as credit cards or bank accounts. GR88 is committed to preventing not only the theft or misuse of our player's personal data, but also in preventing others becoming the victim of identity theft by having their credit card or other personal information fraudulently used to create or deposit to a GR88 account.
Collusion Prevention
Collusion is a form of cheating where two or more players share the value of their hands or otherwise form a cheating partnership to the detriment of the other players at the same poker table. Whilst it may be easier to pass information between colluding players playing online poker than it is in a live casino poker room, it is much more difficult to avoid eventual detection, as all players' hands can be examined and analysed afterwards. Online poker rooms are also able to store vast amounts of historical data of not just player accounts, but the computers and locations used to play those accounts. The Merge poker network utilizes advanced security systems to track and ban the accounts of any players suspected of collusion, not limited to the use of device reputation databases such as Iovation.
